![]() Action Type: Bolt Action, Internal Magazine. Year of Manufacture: 1943 ( of Joe Poyer’s book, The M1903 Springfield Rifle and its Variations, 3rd Edition). ![]() If the bayonet is in really bad shape and common, I wouldn't really factor it into the price of the rifle. Model: 1903A3 (03-A3) Serial Number: 3974271. could tell me if these stock markings are correct for serial 40975XX. Then the regular M1 Bayonets by number manufactured and how collectable they are would be the Oneidas, the Oneida cut downs, PAL's, Uticas, Union Fork and Hoes and the American Fork and Hoes. Then followed by the Wylde M1905E1 and neck and neck are the 1943 dated M1 Bayonets with the Oneida's leading the pack. Keep in mind the Wyldes and Oneidas were WWII contracts and the Rocks and Springers were WWI. What type of bayonet is it? Who is the manufacturer? Is it a m1905 16 inch, m1905 cutdown (collectors call them the M1905E1) or an M1 Bayonet? To help you along the most collectable bayonets in the 16 inch seem to be the Wyldes, Oniedas, Rock Islands and Springfields.
